Yaks a long haired bovine that are a celebrated animal of the people of Ustinkistan, who use its meat as food, and celebrate Yaksgiving and Yaksmas.

These hairy cow-like beasts are dropped on hapless family members during the third and fourth day of Yaksgiving, and then a stampede of them called a "Yak Attack" is unleashed on the fifth day. Their meat is used in a variety of foods, such as Yak Burgers, which Grandpa Vlad and Grandma Gladys used to pioneer Yak in the Box, a fast food yak-meat serving restaurant in Dimmsdale.
