Premise[]
To prove Dimmsdale's nemesis Vicky is only mean because she's lonely, Viv wishes that Vicky would become best friends with the next person she sees...which is Viv. Roy then wishes HE were Vicky's best friend to prove Viv wrong.
Plot[]
Wanda and Viv bond over their love of the musical, Hamilton. Roy walks in and asks Viv to make a wish so he can wish his teeth brushed. Viv makes an offhand comment about how she wishes he knew that 20 seconds wasn't long enough to brush his teeth-- which Wanda grants despite Viv protesting it wasn't serious-- and Roy wishes his teeth "two minutes brushed". Viv tells Cosmo and Wanda that she wants a musical number to give people an opportunity to see her in a different way - a way that lets her shine.
At school, the students, Ty and Rachel perform the musical number. When it's Viv's turn to sing, she pauses briefly, leading to Rachel stealing the spotlight. Just as Viv begins to sing, Vicky interrupts, furious. She starts screaming at everyone - even giving Viv and Roy detention and making Zina go into hiding for two weeks. She tells everyone to scat. They call Vicky wicked- through and through. Vicky accidentally drops her phone and Viv picks it up.
Viv realizes that no one has ever called Vicky - her calendar is just full of doing activities alone. Viv thinks that Vicky's lonely and that's why she's evil, but Roy says that she was born evil. They make a bet over whether or not she truly is, saying that the loser has to wear a shirt saying the other was right on picture day.
Viv wishes that Vicky would become best friends with the next person she sees, which happens to be Viv. Vicky is now really happy because she isn’t lonely - she even cancels homework and tells everyone to go have fun and play sports ball. Vicky and Viv run around doing “best friend activities” like tandem biking, volleyball and karaoke. They spend so much time together that Viv falls asleep in her cereal after school.
Roy wants to prove that Vicky is still evil and decides to prove it- he wishes to become best friends with her instead. Vicky becomes possessive of Roy, telling his friends to "go find another boy", resulting in them befriending Nate Buxaplenty. Vicky and Roy do a series of best friend activities too, all with an iguana that Roy keeps trying to get Vicky to yell at.
Viv looks for Roy at the quad, finding Roy's Boy's. When she asks if they've seen Roy, they shush her and say that Nate has forbidden them from talking about Roy, but give her a letter telling her that Roy was in Miss Vicky's classroom. Viv goes in and finds Roy passed out in a bowl of after school instant ribs. She wakes him up and teases him before going to get paper towels out of the supply closet.
In the supply closet, Viv and Roy come upon a fairy conspiracy wall, created by a teacher that came before her -a teacher trying to prove that fairies do exist. Vicky admits she’s in love with this teacher, Mister Crocker. Viv and Roy try to leave when Vicky realizes that Viv is Timmy Turner's cousin and adds Viv's name to the conspiracy wall. When Roy asks why Vicky wants to find the fairies, Vicky says it's so Crocker will be released from DPH and they could finally be together. After Viv calls it sweet, Vicky immediately admits to wanting to use the fairies to do any evil stuff she and Crocker want and that she's evil to her core.
Viv tries to leave with Roy, but Vicky grabs onto him, and they engage in a "good old fashioned Tug-of-Roy". Roy's Boys smell that Roy's in danger and go to help Roy, ultimately winning and sending Vicky flying back into the supply closet. Roy wishes that he was no longer friends with Vicky and that she would never be any kind of friend to him or Viv ever again.
After Roy and his boys reunite and Zina reunites with Viv, Vicky throws the door open and demands to know why they're in her classroom and why she's dressed like Roy. Vicky suspects that fairies are behind it before kicking everyone out. She talks to Crocker's picture, saying she hopes he's proud of her and that they're one step closer to getting him out and wishing their dreams into a reality-- a two bed, half bath condo with an air fryer in Rancho Cucamonga-- and adds Roy's name to the fairy wall below Viv's.
Viv wears her "Roy Was Right" t-shirt on picture day.
