Trivia
- This is the ninth appearance of Foop.
- This episode does not include Sparky and uses the same title sequence used from Seasons 1-8 instead of the Season 9 version. This could possibly mean that the episode was made before Season 9. However, repeats of this episode on Nicktoons, have the Season 9 version of the intro, but uses the same Octopus headgag.
- This is also the same for SpongeBob SquarePants for that show's ninth season until on the 9th of July 2016 the widescreen theme song got aired with the premiere of the episode Lame and Fortune however it was actually shown 2 days earlier with a rerun of the episode "Eek, An Urchin!".
- This is the third episode in Season 9 where Denzel Crocker does not appear in at any moment.
- This is one of the few episodes in Season 9 where Sparky is absent. The others are Desperate Without Housewives and Jerk of All Trades.
- Mr. Turner speaks and looks directly at the audience during the kitchen scene, which is breaking the fourth wall.
- In addition, Foop looks at the audience when he said that the pot full of boiling water made his blood boil.
- Foop mentions the next February 3rd being a Monday. February 3rd, 2014 is, indeed, a Monday.
- This episode, along with Anchor's Away, aired on November 27th, 2013 in Latin America, Brazil and the UK.
- This episode and its sister episode was originally going to air on August 1 in the U.S but was changed to July 25 instead.
- This is the last appearance of Mrs. Powers in the series.
Allusions
- Two and a Half Men - The title of this episode is an allusion to the TV series.
- If You Give a Mouse a Cookie - Foop's book is an obvious parody of this children’s book.
Running Gags
- Foop doing something bad, then blaming Sammy Sweetsparkle.
- Mr. Turner boiling things.
- Cosmo saying, “Yay, whoopsie!” when he drops Poof down.
- Foop falling asleep while Poof sings, after saying that only a weak-minded person would fall asleep from a lullaby.
- Foop getting angry when Wanda and Cosmo give Poof credit for saving Wesley.
Goofs
- In this episode, it was stated that Cosmo always drops Poof, but in For Emergencies Only, Cosmo was holding Poof but he didn't drop him.
