Fairly OddParents, Danny Phantom, T.U.F.F. Puppy & Bunsen is a Beast The Fairly Odd Phantom Short

"The Fairly Odd Phantom" is an original animated short featuring an ensemble cast of characters from the Nickelodeon animated series created by Butch Hartman: The Fairly OddParents, Danny Phantom, T.U.F.F Puppy and the brand-new Bunsen is a Beast. The short, which marks the first-time these popular characters have ever been featured together, was released online - across Nick.com, Facebook, and Nick’s YouTube page - on February 21st, 2017, to promote the premiere of "Bunsen" on Nickelodeon, that same day.

Plot

In The Fairly Odd Phantom, Danny Phantom and friends capture escaped ghosts in their lab, Fenton Works, but their mission quickly goes awry when secret agent Dudley Puppy messes with the control panel. Soon after, Wanda, Cosmo and Timmy end up in the lab instead of Fairy World, where they are all met by a very different newcomer, Bunsen.[1]

Synopsis

The short starts out with Danny, Sam, Tucker and Jazz standing in the lab. Danny says that the Ghost Portal is acting weird, and then three ghosts pop out of it. Danny transforms, and Sam, Jazz, and Tucker help him take care of them.

The foursome see that Dudley Puppy is messing with the Ghost Portal controls, Kitty Katswell watching him in displeasure. The alarm goes off again, and this time, Timmy TurnerCosmo, and Wanda step out. Timmy makes a remark that the lab isn't Fairy World, and Danny mistakes Cosmo and Wanda as ghosts and sucks them into the Fenton Thermos.

The alarm goes off one last time and a beast named "Bunsen" steps out. Bunsen thinks the group is there for a party and gives everyone cupcakes. Dudley eats all, but not Timmy's for a weird reason, and Danny responds, "New rule, from now on, only people with pants are allowed in the lab."

Notes

  • This is the first crossover between Fairly OddParents and Bunsen is a Beast. They crossed over again in Bunsen's episode "Beast of Friends".
  • It is unknown if this short is canon to the shows. However, if it is canon, it means that that all Butch Hartman shows exist in the same universe. This would also mean the TV shows Jimmy Neutron and Planet Sheen also exist in that same universe because of the Jimmy Timmy Power Hour trilogy.
  • This is the only Bunsen is a Beast media made in hand-drawn animation.
  • This marks the Danny Phantom and T.U.F.F Puppy characters return to animation since both their shows ended.
  • All voice actors reprise their roles from their respective shows.
  • Chloe Carmichael and some of the main characters from the other shows do not appear in this crossover short.
