• Hazel was going to have a different fairy named Cookie before Cosmo and Wanda assigned themselves to her.
• When a godchild can't think of a wish, a fairy's wand releases a wish fart; in the original series, the wands made a fart noise when a godchild tried to make a wish that was against Da Rules.
• This episode reveals that Hazel prefers oatmeal chocolate chip cookies over regular chocolate chip.
• Despite being the second episode in production and airing order, this was the first episode animated for the series.
• The DMV was previously seen in the The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder episode Da Wish App. However, Wanda stated that it stood for Department of Magical Vessels, its implied that either the last part of the name was changed to Violations during the time gap, Wanda simply forgot what the V stood for, or the "Vessels" part was retconned altogether.
• Cosmo says "Oh no, it's Jorgen Von Strangle, the toughest fairy in the universe!", just like Timmy said it in Inspection Detection.

• He who smell it dealt it: Jorgen quotes the sentence after smelling Cookie's wish fart, saying “The fairy who denied it, supplied it."
• How the Grinch Stole Christmas: When Cookie smells Cosmo and Wanda's wish fart she says “That wish stink, stank and stunk”, referencing a lyric from the 1966 holiday song “You’re a Mean One Mr. Grinch”.
• Department of Motor Vehicles: Fairy World's Department of Magical Violations is a parody of the human world's DMV.
