The Big (Fairy) Wand is the source of all magical power in Fairy World, powering all the magic wands of the fairies on Earth. In the first five seasons, Anti-Poof, Crocker Shocker, and Balance of Flour, it is a giant radio tower like structure with a large gold star on top. Starting in Merry Wishmas, in almost every episode it appears in, it looks more like a city observation tower with a gold star on it.
The Big Wand is able to generate the magic by converting human belief in fairies into power. Until recently Mr. Crocker was the sole source of the wand's power due to his constant belief in fairies and almost always spasming about them, but after he temporarily stopped believing in fairies thanks to Dr. Fancyfree hypnotizing him, the Big Wand was drained of all of its power, and Fairy World became a slum. After they were able to convince Crocker fairies existed again, they also began to draw power from Crocker-like people from all around the Earth so that this black-out would not happen again. It was revealed in The Big Fairy Share Scare that the Big Wand's power is recharged on Fridays and is what protects the Earth from Anti-Fairies.
In the first five seasons, Anti-Poof, Crocker Shocker, and Balance of Flour, The Big Wand resembles a radio tower and a wand, with a giant star at the top of it located on the top of the tallest mountain in Fairy World. Starting in Merry Wishmas, in almost every episode it appears in, it looks more like a city observation tower with a gold star on it.
