Trivia
- This is the eighth appearance of Foop.
- This is the first appearance of the Anti-Fairy Council in the series.
- In this episode, the soles of Vicky's shoes are shown to be gray with lines on them instead of the normal black.
- Similar to how rump roast is a weakness to fairies, the weakness for anti-fairies is chicken cordon bleu while the weakness for fairy dogs is lobster bisque.
- Although anti-fairies cannot be fairy godparents for kids, it is shown that they can be assigned to bad kids as their scary godparents.
- This was the last episode to premiere in 2013.
- Out of all the episodes that were the last to premiere in a specific calendar year (not counting the show's finale), this episode premiered the earliest, having aired on October 19.
- Foop revealed to Vicky that Timmy has fairy godparents, although she does not seem to remember them in later appearances, likely because Jorgen Von Strangle found out and wiped out her memory of them sometime after the events of this episode. In Stage Fright, her next appearance, she does not have any knowledge about Timmy's fairies, although she does interact with Poof in Certifiable Super Sitter.
- It's revealed that there is a stadium named after Bucky McBadbat in Dimmsdale.
- This is also the second time we see a Bucky McBadbat Stadium, the first was Fairy Idol.
- Poof was shown to be able to say, "rump roast".
- The monkey that taught ballet class said he ironically slipped on a banana peel. This is surprisingly true, because common monkeys eat bananas.
- The Crocker pot appeared before in When Losers Attack, but it looked different.
- Some people confuse this episode for Scary Godparents.
- This is the last episode Butch Hartman directed.
Allusions
- The episode's title is a pun on the book "Scary GodCouple".
- Phineas and Ferb - The scene where Vicky says "You're so busted!" and tried to bust Timmy with his father is an allusion to Candace saying that and trying to bust Phineas and Ferb with Linda.
- The Real Housewives - "The Real Housewives of Dimmsdale" is a parody of this.
Continuity & Easter Eggs
- This is the second time Foop and Vicky interact. They first met in "When Losers Attack" - which is referenced by Vicky.
- When Vicky was trying to get Timmy in trouble by his dad and Timmy reads his magazine, it's a reference of Party of Three when they did the same thing.
Running Gags
- Good things happening to Mr. Turner while he's handcuffed to Dinkleberg & regarding them as horrible things that are happening to him.
- Cosmo having hot foods inside his pocket.
- Foop being scolded by Vicky for enjoying himself.
- Vicky making terrible wishes and Timmy unwishing them.
Goofs
- In the title card of the episode Foop's crown is gold instead of black.
- Foop’s mouth is incorrectly colored throughout this whole episode.
- Crocker pot's countdown was inconsistent; The first two seconds of the countdown lasted for one second, It didn't tick for several times, and when in one scene the countdown was at 00:10, a while later it turned into 00:11.
- When Timmy took off the tutu, he didn't wear pants. But when he showed up at Vicky's, his pants were shown.
- Maybe he wished pants from Sparky before the scene on Vicky's house.
- In the credits, Dinkleberg is misspelled as Dinkelberg.
- When Wanda, Cosmo and Poof were outside getting hypnotized by the rump roast, Wanda has purple eyes and Poof has pink eyes.
Quotes
- The leader of the Anti-Fairy Council: "We've assigned you an earthling named Vicky!"
- Foop: [screams in terror] "Not her! She terrifies me!"
- The leader of the Anti-Fairy Council: "The word of the council is final. One last thing, Foop. If you attempt to escape from Vicky or defy her wishes, your baba will zap you, like this." [Foop is zapped]
- Mr. Turner: "Dinkleberg? No!!!"
- Dinkleberg: "This is a great idea, Turner! Handcuffing us together is a wonderful way to build a neighborly bond!"
- Foop: "Oh dear. Your neck is as scaly and cold as the skin of a serpent!"
- Vicky: "WHAT DID YOU SAY?!"
- Foop: "Nothing, nothing! You're a radiant angel! Mind melding now!"
- Foop: "Boy, you have issues." [referring to Vicky]
- Mr. Crocker: "Come on in! I was just pouring some lemonade, not for the dolls though, that would be creepy! So, what can I do you for?"
- Vicky: "We need you to tell us how to catch Timmy Turner's fairies!"
- Crocker: "FAIRIES! Well, I'm an expert in that! If you define expert as someone who's never accomplished the one thing he set out to do!"
