Pooferty is a phase when fairy babies go from saying "Poof, poof," to actual words, but during the translation, a fairy baby will speak Babble and no one would understand what they are saying.
School of Crock[]
Poof was speaking gibberish, so Wanda called Dr. Rip Studwell for help and Studwell said that Poof is going through pooferty. So throughout the episode, no one would understand him, which causes problems. He can't talk to the Spellementary School staff because he know Crocker's plan to turn into a fairy by stealing everyone's magic. But when Poof battles out with Crocker, he spoke his first words, which were "I want my rattle!" And now he doesn't have pooferty anymore, he wanted to tell everyone what he likes to tell them. First, to Wanda, "Mom, no more string beets," then to Cosmo, "Dad, stay away from the oven," and last, to Timmy "Timmy, buddy, I love ya, but you gonna lose the pink hat."
