Maryann is a former godchild of Cosmo and Wanda who only appeared in "Hassle in the Castle".
Character[]
Maryann is a girl who is in the Hall of Infamy in Cosmo and Wanda's Castle. Timmy had gone into the castle to see the place and starts looking for the Hall of Fame, he reaches the Hall of Infamy and mistakes it for the Hall of Fame because the letters on the sign don't look right, Timmy uses the wand from Cosmo, to make Maryann along with Pierre and Sammy remember Cosmo and Wanda and get out of their frames, Timmy introduces himself and tells them that he is the current Godchild of Cosmo and Wanda, he asks them how they got into the Hall of Fame, then Pierre calls him stupid and reveals that it is the Hall of Infamy and that they are not the best godkids, but the worst.
Cosmo appears along with his coin, Phillip, to see if there are any coin thieves there, when Cosmo leaves Maryann tells Timmy that she is in the hall for entering the castle and stealing a magic wand, Maryann says that she doesn't want Timmy to end up like her and that she should give him the wand, that way if they get caught Timmy won't have so many problems, he trusts Maryann and gives it to her, Maryann laughs evilly, says that Pierre is right about Timmy being a fool and she only needs Wanda's wand to get revenge on them for deserting her but Pierre approaches her, tricks her and takes the wand, he tells her that she is as fool as Timmy and that he will be the one to get revenge on Cosmo and Wanda but Timmy takes his frame and puts him back, Maryann and Sammy start fighting over Cosmo's wand while Timmy takes the frame from Sammy, Maryann manages to overpower Sammy and take the wand when Timmy puts him back into his frame, Maryann starts running so Timmy takes her frame and you go after her.
Maryann and Timmy start running through the different doors until Timmy meets Cosmo, Maryann appears and Cosmo greets her, he tells her that it has been a long time since he has seen her and that he likes the wand she has and that it's like his, Maryann leaves and Timmy tells Cosmo that it's his wand and that if Maryann also takes Wanda's wand they won't be able to stop her.
Maryann runs to the hall but Timmy and Cosmo take a shortcut thanks to Phillip and arrive first so they try to go for Wanda's wand, then Maryann appears, Cosmo goes for the wand and Maryann throws him a magic ray but Timmy gets in the way and turns into a duck, Cosmo is surprised and Maryann turns him into a duck too, she says that nothing can stop her and takes Wanda's wand but then Wanda appears and tells Maryann that she has been very bad, Maryann tells her that they deserted her, Wanda tells her that they didn't desert her and reveals that Maryann abused their magic, eliminated Archduke Ferdinand on June 28, 1914 in Sarajevo and started the World War I, Maryann tells her that she will eliminate them and asks her what she thinks, to which Wanda says "Cosmo, you dunderhead!", activating a giant boxing glove that hits Maryann, she is stunned and Timmy and Cosmo pull her back into her frame.
Description[]
Because she was wished out of a gray-scale painting, she is fully gray-scale herself, instead of the natural colors she had when she was alive. She wears a small dress and black Mary Jane shoes, and has ringlets and a bow.
Trivia[]
- It is unknown how she could wish that the Archduke Ferdinand would be killed, because it states in Da Rules that a godchild cannot wish someone dead. It's possible this rule was created because of her. Maryann is also shown to be very manipulative (she was able to trick Timmy into giving her Cosmo's wand), so it's possible she could've found some sort of loophole.
- Potential ways she could have wished someone killed:
- It is possible that she got a Magic Muffin, making it possible for her to wish Archduke Ferdinand murdered without breaking Da Rules.
- It is also possible that this wish was a secret wish, and that she wished that Wanda or Cosmo forgot about it like Timmy did in "Timmy's Secret Wish!". However, if this is the case, then it was most likely possible that she wished for something that caused Archduke Ferdinand's death instead of directly wishing it. Using magic direcly to kill someone is impossible as it will turn them into something else, which is made evident in specials "When Nerds Collide" and "Abra-Catastrophe!".
- A third possibility is that she wished for You Doo Dolls for soldiers into assassinating Archduke Ferdinand (in this case, Gavrilo Princip, the Archduke's killer).
- Another possibility is that she likely wished for a weapon and gave it to Gavrilo Princip, that he used to kill Archduke Ferdinand.
- Another possibility is that Maryann had wished for something that manipulated Gavrilo Princip to assassinate the Archduke or manipulate the circumstances that lead to the assassination, otherwise using her magic to manipulate the assassination to occure but not directly causing the death.
