Ludwig van Beethoven was a German composer and pianist. He is considered to have been the most crucial figure in the transitional period between the Classical and Romantic eras in Western classical music, and remains one of the most famous and influential composers of all time.

Born in Bonn, then the capital of the Electorate of Cologne and a part of the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation in present-day Germany, he moved to Vienna in his early twenties and settled there, studying with Joseph Haydn and quickly gaining a reputation as a virtuoso pianist. His hearing began to deteriorate in the late 1790s, yet he continued to compose, conduct, and perform, even after becoming completely deaf.

Beethoven appeared in The Fairly OddParents in the "Boys in the Band" when he was poofed up as a member of Cosmo's band, The Fairies.

He appeared as an older man with grey hair, and was wearing an old-fashioned, dark colored suit.

When Timmy Turner sabotaged Chip Skylark's concert at the Dimmadome by having Vicky capture the teen star and hold him hostage, the crowd at the concert began to get wild and angry. While Timmy was figuring out a way to free Chip from Vicky, he sent Cosmo to distract the crowd. Cosmo poofed up his old band called "The Fairies", and Beethoven was one of the members, whose instrument was the electric organ. Someone threw a tomato at him, and he held his hand to his ear and yelled "Huh? What?" to indicate his deafness. Later on, he was seen batting away the crowd's thrown tomatoes until Timmy and Wanda arrived with Chip.
