Cool! I'm middle-aged! You kids get off my lawn!
Cosmo

"Knighty Knight" is the sixteenth episode of Season 2.

Plot[]

After being ripped off by the Camelot Fair (the knight is shorter than he looks, the wizard is just a cleaning product salesman, and the dragon is only a dog wearing a dragon mask that it's scared of) Timmy wishes he was in the real Camelot, but Timmy's parents somehow come along with him and are about to be eaten by a dragon!

Synopsis[]

The episode begins at the 595th Dimmsdale Camelot Festival. Timmy enters the Renaissance fair as a knight, using Wanda as his steed, and quickly finds the place to be a disappointing rip-off. He finds another knight, who is really a short man there to help people find the toilets; a wizard, who is actually a cleaning product salesman; and a dragon attraction that turns out to be a dog in an oversized mask. In his frustration, Timmy wishes to take everyone to the real Middle Ages, and Cosmo magically changes the setting to 15th-century Camelot.

Timmy admires medieval England.

Since Timmy wished for everyone to come, Mr. and Mrs. Turner show up in a two-person cow costume – Mr. Turner's poor eyesight made him mistake the festival for the state fair, and he wanted to win a blue ribbon competition. Timmy does not want his parents "running around the middle ages in a cow suit", but before Cosmo and Wanda can get rid of them, a dragon picks up the parents and flies off.

Just as Timmy says he needs a weapon to save his parents, his and the fairies' attention is drawn to the nearby Sword in the Stone. Hundreds of people have tried and failed to pull out the sword in order to make themselves the king of England. The wizard Merlin explains to the next contestant, his short and virtually blind nephew Arthur, that he has cast a spell so that whoever grabs the sword next can take it. However, Timmy rides off with it before Artie can, and the many people who see him declare him their new king. Merlin, desperate to "kingify" Artie so that he himself can get rich off him, tries to help Artie find the Holy Grail so that he might become king that way – but Timmy ends up finding the Grail by accident when he sits on the shrub it is hidden in. Merlin says that killing the dragon is the only remaining way for Artie to become king.

Timmy arrives at the mountain the dragon's lair is in. Cosmo and Wanda reveal that they cannot help him fight since magic is useless against dragons, and they leave him to save his parents by his lonesome. The dragon picks up Mr. and Mrs. Turner's cow costume and begins to burn them with its breath. Timmy saves them by throwing the sword so that it cuts through their costume and they fall out. Artie shows up, and Timmy has to push him out of the way so that the dragon does not burn him. Artie tells Timmy about his bad vision, and so Timmy fetches Mr. Turner's reading glasses and puts them on him. Now bestowed with the ability to see, Artie becomes a muscular titan; he dubs the sword Excalibur (by Timmy's suggestion) and uses it to successfully slay the dragon. Artie is finally recognized as the king of England, and Merlin congratulates him. In response, Artie beats him up and launches him off the mountain.

The episode ends at the Turners' house, with Timmy reading his recovering parents a book recounting this story.
