Aion mosaic Glyptothek Munich W504 — Roman mosaic of Anu (Greek Uranus) posing as the Hellenistic god Aion, with a muscular body. Jorgen's placement of the stars in "Wishology!" may be influenced by Anu.

In Oh Yeah! Cartoons, Jorgen says that he lacks wings as he thinks it to be a feminine quality, and wears jetpacks instead. He only uses the jetpack in one episode of the main series, however.
- Possibly owing to his lack of wings, in addition to his human-sized frame, Jorgen is never shown floating like most fairies, instead always standing with his feet planted on the ground.
Jorgen's appearances are typically punctuated with a forceful explosion, which often shocks and surprises unsuspecting people.
Jorgen is often referred to as the "leader" of the Fairies, usually acting as both director and enforcer of all matters related to events in Fairy World. Despite this, it is shown several times that Jorgen himself answers to the Fairy Council, the actual ruling body in Fairy World.
Despite being the "Head Fairy", Jorgen also has many other jobs featured throughout the show. Such jobs include being a chef at multiple restaurants in Fairy World, a guard at multiple prisons, a recurring prosecutor in Fairy Court, a temp worker at the Fairy World Pet Store and a "part-time stooge" at his grandmother's bakery.
Creator Butch Hartman said that he wanted the leader of the fairies to be something unexpected and atypical of usual works featuring fairies, and the first thing that came to mind was Arnold Schwarzenegger, with the fairies being trained in an academy doing push-ups and lifting weights.
- Very early episodes considered him a parody of Schwarzenegger's character in the film Commando, though his name and facial features are more akin to Jean-Claude Van Damme. He could also be based on Anu, the supreme god of the Sumerians, who, just like Jorgen in Wishology!, made the stars as warriors.
- This would make Cosmo analogous to Enki.
Jorgen is the only primary character to regularly feature shading on his character model due to muscle definition.
In the Oh Yeah! Cartoons episode, "The Zappys," Jorgen has a godkid named Winston but was never heard of again in the series.
- in Temporary Fairy, it is explained that Jorgen is not legally allowed to have a Godchild due to his dangerously aggressive form of Godparenting, explaining Winston's absence in the main series. He once became Timmy's temporary fairy when Cosmo and Wanda were too busy taking care of Poof, though he claims this was only due to the fact "the lawsuits have been settled".
Jorgen does not like to wear upper attire that covers his biceps, as shown in Pixies Inc.. Additionally, more often than not, any other outfit he wears still features the combat boots worn in his usual attire.
While technically every fairy has some powers of warping reality, Jorgen has shown he can do so in the form of a story, shown when he read a story to Binky when he was sick, and it caused Timmy, Wanda, and Cosmo to be the characters of the story, as shown in Timmy the Barbarian.
In a non-canon joke shown in the School's Out!: The Musical bloopers (which can be found on YouTube), Jorgen actually speaks with a British accent when not filming, during the scene where he says "But first this frappe mocha" and discovers someone has put a mousetrap in his drink. Jorgen later says in a British accent, "Ok, yes, ha ha, very funny. Now which one of you chaps DIES for this?".
His closest friends are Wanda, Cosmo, and Timmy as revealed in "Teeth For Two ", although he also mentions that he does not have many friends, due to his tendency to punch them.
Jorgen has been a fan of disco since the 70's, as shown in The Secret Origin of Denzel Crocker. His love for disco is also sporadically referenced throughout the series.
Jorgen's role as an intimidating antagonist was dwindled greatly over the years, while he can still be an antagonist at times, he became more of a supporting protagonist due to him assisting Timmy and his fairies many times due to certain moments of crisis, usually Jorgen is defined as an anti-hero. Despite this, he is still very open about his dislike towards Cosmo in particular.
- Jorgen's only time as a full-blown antagonist was in Action Packed, having been turned into an action-movie villain due to Timmy's wish.
Jorgen appears to be the largest fairy currently in Fairy World. In Wishology!, it's revealed that fairies used to be warriors in ancient times, and they were much larger than the current fairies. Later seasons revealed Jorgen was much smaller and scrawnier as a child, however.
Jorgen Von Strangle has appeared in all The Fairly Oddparents movies except Channel Chasers.
Jorgen is one of the few fairies without matching eye and hair colors, along with Blonda.
Jorgen along with Timmy, Cosmo, Wanda, Mr. Turner, Mrs. Turner, Chester, AJ, Mark, Chet Ubetcha, Mr. Crocker and Vicky are the only characters to appear in every season of the show.
Jorgen, Vicky, Mr. Crocker, Cosmo and Wanda are the only characters to appear in every incarnation of the franchise.
Jorgen is the only fairy without pupils.

Allusions

His name on the German-language version of the show is "Jean-Claude Van Ramme", a closer reference to Jean-Claude Van Damme. In the Swedish dub, his name is Jorgen Von Strypgrepp, a translation of the English name.
