Allusions
- X Games - The episode's is a play on the name of this event.
- Book of Exodus - Timmy's line "Let my people skate!" is a play on "Let my people go."
- Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back - The scene with Timmy training in the jungle references Luke Skywalker's training with Yoda on the planet Dagobah. Cosmo phrases his dialogue like Yoda.[1][2]
- Yin Yang Yo! - The pink rabbit on the Small Ramp bares a slight resemblance to Yin, the difference is that Yin has a bow. Coincidentally, Bob Boyle has worked on the series (including this episode) until 2005.
Running Gags
- Timmy tripping over a ladybug.
- A.J. rephrasing his sentences using a book of skater slang.
- Timmy or Chester making a correction when someone talks of Timmy being "queen".
- Chester's braces forming different equipment.
- The astronaut saying that there is a problem.
Goofs
- Francis is able to breathe on the moon without any source of oxygen.
- Vicky probably should not have been able to pierce the wheels on Timmy's skateboard since unlike car tires, skateboard wheels tend to be solid.
- The first time Cosmo and Wanda are shown as announcers, they still have their crowns, only for them to be gone in the next shot.
Production Notes
- This episode completed production on June 27, 2001.[3]
- This episode (along with "Boys in the Band") shares its U.S. air date with the SpongeBob SquarePants episodes "Nasty Patty" and "Idiot Box".
Quotes
- Cosmo: His whole face hit at the same time! He must be really good!
- (Chester has crashed face first and his braces are broken)
- A.J.: Does your dentist buy you tickets to this place?
- Chester: Yeah, why? (the braces fall off) Darn it!
- Timmy: I am not [uncoordinated]!
- (he trips over a ladybug)
- A.J.: I call it "the 1400-degree and four aerial flippy trick"!
- Chester: Yeah, that rolls off the tongue, Poindexter. What about calling it "the Timmy Tuck"?
- Astronaut: Houston, we have another problem. Over.
- Houston: It's always problem, problem, problem with you guys. Don't you ever just call to say hi? Over.
- Cosmo: Learn to skate in difficult environments you must.
- (the scene shows Timmy and his godparents being chased by gorillas)
- Cosmo: Because scared of gorillas am I!
- A.J.: Timmy better win or we're not gonna love him anymore.
- Vicky: Break a leg, twerp!
- Timmy: Thanks, Vicky!
- Vicky: No really. I mean break a leg!
- (she kicks Timmy down the ramp)
- A.J.: ... and you'll be the new queen.
- Timmy: King.
- Chester: Whatever.
- A.J. (referring to Vicky): She's totally cheating! I mean (quickly looks in his skater slang book) cheating!
- Vicky: How could you do that when I couldn't?
- (The Timmy Tuck blueprint comes out of Chester's braces and A.J. points to it with a pointer)
- A.J.: Because Timmy's small and nice. You're tall and weighted down with too much evil, which threw you off balance!
- Timmy: Oh no! I won! I'm the queen now!
- A.J.: King.
- Timmy: Right! Gimme that crown!
- Vicky: Oh, you want this crown? You got a better chance of some loser 12-year-old wastoid falling from the sky and plowing me into the ground!
- (Francis falls down from the sky screaming. He hits Vicky like a meteor, ramming her into the ground.)
- Vicky: Here you go.
- (Vicky gives Timmy the crown)
- Timmy: Let my people skate!
- Wanda: Timmy won, Vicky's in a crater and the kids are free to skate. Pretty good day, don't you think?
- Cosmo: I want a hotdog. Is it halftime yet?
