Trivia

  • Juandissimo and The April Fool both make cameos in this episode. Chester, A.J., Tootie, and Elmer also have cameos in this episode, they are seen cheering when Timmy flies through a billboard advertising Dr. Bender, the dentist.
  • Both Dark Laser and Dr. Rip Studwell made their debuts in this episode as well as Flipsie.
  • Dr. Rip Studwell had his eyes closed the whole time he appeared in this episode.
  • The unwise wish of the episode, the Magic Copy Machine, is ironically Wanda's idea instead of Timmy or Cosmo's. In most cases Timmy or Cosmo make the unwise wish.
  • Cosmo apparently does not like to go to the doctor.
  • The magic copy machine appears again in Escape From Unwish Island.
  • Wanda says, "Whoa, didn't see that coming", which would later be used as a catchphrase for the TV show Johnny Test (created by Scott Fellows, who wrote this episode) when it premiered 2 years after this episode aired.
  • Jim Ward voices Dr. Rip Studwell but in later episodes he's voiced by the shows creator Butch Hartman

Allusions

  • Star Wars - Many things in this episode, such as "Space Wars", Dark Laser, his Star Destroyer-like warship, Timmy's Y-wing-like fighter, Dark Laser's ball shaped drone minions, Cosmo's last minute rescue and Wanda's wand turning into a lightsaber, are all homages to Star Wars.
    • The fact that this episode has a lot of Star Wars references is because Butch Hartman is a huge fan of the movie series.
  • Captain Underpants - The Magic Copy Machine functions similar to the PATSY 2000 from the book series.

Running Gags

  • Almost every time Dr. Rip Studwell starts his sentence, another character interrupts him.
  • Flipsie doing a flip.

Goofs

Covererror

Cover changes, also the cover from the left is backwards

  • Dark Laser's position in the comic book and the letter bold changes at the end of the episode.
  • In one scene, the front cover of the Space Wars comic appears to be backwards.
  • Although it happened over a phone, it is somewhat strange that Wanda was allowed to speak to Chester when he called Timmy's house. However, it could be possible that as long as Chester or anyone doesn't know Wanda is a fairy, Wanda is allowed to speak to anyone through a phone.
  • On the title card, Timmy is pressing the wrong button.
  • At the end, the copy machine was making copies of Cosmo lying on the copy machine's surface and the copies show the front of Cosmo. But since Cosmo was laying down on the copy machine's surface on his back, the copies should have shown his backside not his front.
  • The right engine of Timmy's spaceship appears to fix itself in one scene.
  • The description of the episode mentions that Timmy brought Darth Vader to life and must battle him. Dark Laser himself is a spoof of said character.

Quotes

Timmy: You've got to stay here and copy something if I need it!
Wanda: Just because I'm a woman doesn't mean I'm a secretary. (phone rings, Wanda answers) Timmy Turner's office, please hold. It's Chester, are you in?

Dark Laser: Curses! Flipsie, I'm sorry you had to hear that.

Dark Laser: I have you now! (turns and remembers Flipsie) I mean WE have you now!

Dark Laser: NOOOO! FLIPSIE! DON'T FORGET MEEEE!!!
(zoom out to reveal Dark Laser has been turned into a poster character, on Timmy's wall)

Wanda: One engine...and a soda, coming right up. (presses wish button, scene changes to Timmy)
Timmy: Hey, half a soda? Half an engine, what gives!?
(scene shows copier's out of toner)
Wanda: Bad news, Timmy. We're out of toner!
