The episode starts at Timmy's room. Timmy is a goldfish and Cosmo is teaching him how to float upside down. Wanda and Poof decide to join in (with a not good looking side from Wanda). Suddenly, Mr. and Mrs Turner come in asking Timmy to do the latest craze, taking an interest with their child (because everyone is doing it). Mrs Turner does not know where Timmy is but then Mr. Turner sees the goldfish are dead (when they are actually upside down) and decides to flush them down the toilet. It happened with their boa constricter and their old toilet (which they named Mr. DeFlushio). And then they go to the bathroom where Mrs Turner said that they will have a last few words for the goldfish (which was only Adios, Timmy's fish!). And then Timmy and the fairies are now being flushed. Cosmo, which Timmy wanted to save them, as in all the fish and Timmy, wasn't doing anything because he said that being flushed was a common thing, but for now all of the fish are now down deep into the sewers while Mrs Turner went to the mall to buy new fish and Mr. Turner flushed his own lawnmower down the toilet as well.
Meanwhile, the fish are now at the sewers. Cosmo thinks if they're in heaven and mistakes a doll for his nanny, which Wanda corrects him that they are in the sewers and not dead, but they will be slaving with other fish. When Timmy asked Wanda and Poof to wish all of the fish back, Wanda can't because after they were flushed, Cosmo and Wanda lost their wands and Poof lost his rattle. But they got past the fish and they try to get their wands and rattle back.
However they got past through a gate and the fish run into Cuddles, Timmy's boa constricter. He was still alive and they all run into Ratman, formerly Catman, and that he was still alive as well. In a flashback, he was sleeping in the Retirement Home of Justice on a couch, only for a nurse to come in saying he was dead and flushing him down the toilet. Back in the present, he had to take a catnap until roadkill and that he found a rat costume (that Mr. Turner flushed in a flashback) when he woke up. However sewers don't have crime to be solved. Then Cuddles starts straining Cosmo and Ratman orders him to let Cosmo go, only for him to attack Ratman back and eat him, because Cuddles don't know that Timmy is a goldfish. Timmy tells him to spit out Ratman and the latter does but all the breath mints Ratman had were eaten so he chases after Cuddles to get them back.
They go back to the wands but Wanda's wand and Poof's rattle go to a straight path and Cosmo's wand goes into a tunnel. So Timmy and Cosmo go into the tunnel while Wanda and Poof go straight. In their side Wanda and Poof try to get their wand and rattle, respectively, only to be shredded by the lawnmower that came back to life thanks to an eel (that, in a flashback, got flushed by Mr. Crocker).
In the Turner house, Mr. Turner goes into Timmy's room, only to find Sparky lying in the latter's bed, and thinks that Sparky is dead too (which doesn't make any sense, because he's actually sleeping) and flushes him down the toilet as well. Meanwhile Timmy and Cosmo are chasing the latter's wand through a zigzag path towards another gate but it stops at the middle and Timmy gets it, but then loses it thanks to Sparky and the wand goes through the gate. Timmy says to Sparky to use his tail but it is wet (since fairy tails are not like wands) and his fairy phone is wet as well (since phones get wet and then later broken in real life).
Timmy, Cosmo and Sparky are out of the sewers in one pipe, followed by Wanda and Poof in the next one, and they all fall into a river in a glorious sunset. Thanks to Poof, Cosmo's wand is on a teal-like squid who is currently sleeping. However Cosmo accidentally got hot sauce on one of his tentacles, waking him up very angry and squeezing the former, the rest of the fish and Sparky. It feels like it is too late, until Ratman and Cuddles arrive and the latter squeezes the giant squid, setting the fish and Sparky free, along with Cosmo's wand. Cosmo gets his wand and the squid swims away to the sunset. Ratman and Cuddles ride into the sunset as well to clean the sewers and the fish and Sparky are back home.
Back home, everyone is back to their normal selves and Cosmo says that he learned a lesson, Don't tell Wanda your superhero identity because she'll just blab it to the whole world, which is not a lesson. Mrs Turner comes into the room and says to Timmy that she got two squids, that have the same eyes as Cosmo and Wanda. It scares Wanda, but not Cosmo due to his plain stupidity, then Poof with a mask gets rid of the squids by slamming with a guitar, and the squids pass out. Mr. Turner has Sheldon Dinkleberg and flushes him down the toilet. And then the episode ends.
