Gilbert Gottfried (February 28, 1955 - April 12, 2022) was an American actor, voice actor, and stand-up comedian best known for his trademark comedic persona of speaking in a loud, grating tone of voice and squinting. He has played numerous roles in film and television, most notably voicing, the Aflac duck in Aflac commercials, the parrot Iago in Disney's Aladdin. He also voiced Digit in Cyberchase and Jerry the Belly Button Elf/Adonis, the Lord of Chaos in The Ren and Stimpy Show. He also voiced Sal in the episode "The Hankering" from SpongeBob SquarePants. He guest starred as Dr. Bender and his son Wendell in "The Same Game", "Scary Godparents, and "Shiny Teeth".
