Old actor who looks like adult Timmy in "The Big Problem".

• This is the first animated television series and also the first episode that doesn't feature Timmy Turner as the main protagonist.
• In early January 2024, an unfinished version of this episode was leaked on the Internet.
  • There are also a few differences during Dev's introduction between both the leaked and released versions:
    • Whispers Fred's voice doesn't have a deeper voice.
    • No techno music is heard in Dev's scenes.
    • Dev's voice is different, not being deep.
    • Dev's voice from the Kev scene didn't change.
• Doug Dimmadome and The Crimson Chin make non-physical cameos in this episode.
• A character highly resembling Timmy after he wished himself into an adult in "The Big Problem!" makes an appearance after Hazel tries to run away from home (the only notable difference is that the character's eyes are spring green instead of astral blue).
  • It was confirmed by series creator, Lindsay Katai, that the actor indeed isn't Timmy, but a look-alike as an homage to him.
• This episode's premise is similar to that of Fly Boy, except Timmy did want to be a fly, and in this episode, Cosmo falsely believed that Hazel wanted to be a fly.
• This is the episode with the shortest title in The Fairly OddParents franchise, with only 3 letters.
• On the flyer of a Musical; For Girts and Pickles, the date is Tuesday February 31. Meaning this episode take place in February.
• Cosmo and Wanda are revealed to have been living in a fishbowl for about 7 years. This is the amount of time between the release of this episode and the release of Fancy Schmancy, the last episode of the original series.
  • However, Cosmo states that living in the fishbowl felt like 20 years, which is how long its the original show was on TV before Nickelodeon fired Butch Hartman.
  • According to Abra-Catastrophe!, Timmy got Cosmo and Wanda at 9 years old, one year after first meeting Vicky and one year before the original series. If the time Cosmo and Wanda spent living in a fishbowl corresponds to their time as Timmy's fairies, that would mean that Timmy lost Cosmo and Wanda at 16 years old.
• This episode was originally known as "The Fly" during production, as evidenced by its YouTube Content ID entry.
• Moral: Just because people leave, it doesn't mean they don't want to be with you anymore. Let your loved ones spread their wings and do things on their own.

Allusions

• Infinity War - When the bus driver has a role in the movie "Chinfinity War", it's a title reference to the 2018 American superhero film Avengers: Infinity War.
• Barack Obama - When Cosmo and Wanda tell Hazel about their retirement years they witnessed Obama’s inaugural ceremony.
• Of Grits and Glory - A flyer for a parody called "For Girts and Pickles" can be seen.
• The Cuphead Show! - the dance Hazel perform is similar the way Chalice did.
• La Croix - When Dev mentioned Kev’s face of Ya Boix sparkling water, which is a parody of La Croix sparkling water.
