Revenge! REVENGE!!
— Cosmo

"Fairy Fairy Quite Contrary" is the seventeenth episode of Season 2.

Synopsis[]

Timmy becomes suspicious of a rich boy named Remy when he notices that he can be better than him in many situations, even having the ability to be in the Crimson Chin Comic Book. Timmy eventually learns that Remy has a fairy godparent who also turns out to be Wanda's ex-boyfriend, Juandissimo Magnifico. Upon Remy discovering Timmy has fairies, he becomes jealous of Timmy having two fairies compared to his one, along with parents who love him. To this, Remy challenges Timmy to a Magical Duel, where the loser loses his fairies and forgets he ever had them.

Plot[]

Timmy Turner and his friends have camped outside a movie theater so they can be they first to see Crash Nebula: The Movie. Unfortunately for them, a boy named Remy Buxaplenty, who introduces himself as "richer than you will ever hope to be", shows up and buys all the tickets first to seat only himself and his bags of money. Timmy later plays a virtual reality video game, trying to earn a high score to get his name on a plaque on the restroom door. Remy zaps all his points away and wins, getting his own name on the door to the players' lounge. Cosmo and Wanda take Timmy into a Crimson Chin comic as a getaway from Remy, but suddenly "Rich Boy Chin Wonder" Remy appears in the comic and saves the Chin from a fall off a building.

A curious Timmy spies into the Buxaplenty mansion and watches as Remy's parents finish their "daily two minutes" with their son. He sees a purple ferret with a fairy crown in Remy's room and realizes Remy must also have a fairy godparent, which Cosmo and Wanda already knew but could not tell him because of Da Rules. Even so, Wanda did not want to talk about it because the fairy in question is her ex-boyfriend, Juandissimo Magnifico. At the same time, Remy spots Timmy's godparents floating outside. Worried that Timmy could wish to be richer than him, he wishes Cosmo and Wanda would go away. Juandissimo reveals that unless a godchild wishes away their fairies themselves, the only way to get rid of them is to lose a Magical Duel, which will also make the godchild lose their memory of their fairies.

Remy invites Timmy to his home and tries to bribe him to wish away Cosmo and Wanda. Timmy complains that Remy is somehow still miserable in spite of being a rich boy with a fairy godparents. He boasts that he is happier and his godparents are better, provoking Remy and Juandissimo enough that Remy declares a Magical Duel and everyone is poofed to Fairy World.

The first round of the Magical Duel makes the godparents demonstrate their ability to protect their godchildren by saving them from a giant ape. Juandissimo successfully charms the ape with his guitar playing but does not get it to release Remy in time. On Cosmo and Wanda's turn, Cosmo poofs up bananas for "thinking food" and the ape sets down Timmy to take the fruits. Round two requires the godchildren to distract an adult to prevent him from seeing their godparents put out a burning sapling. While Timmy is unable to make any progress, Remy gets the adult out of the way by throwing a wad of cash for him to fetch. With the two boys tied, Timmy tells Remy to call a draw, saying "I don't care if you have a godparent". Remy feels the opposite way; he rants about how little time he gets to spend with his parents and how unfair it is that Timmy can have two pairs of loving parents.

On the tie-breaker round, the godchildren have to come up with an imaginary animal and describe it to their fairies; "the godchild who is the most fantastic animal will win." Timmy immediately wishes himself into a two-headed crab. Remy calls up some consultants and they come up with a much more fantastical chimera with goat horns, the body of an antelope, the head of a "jackalarf", and an engine. Timmy shouts at Cosmo and Wanda to do something to stop Juandissimo from transforming Remy, so Cosmo goes over to him and distracts him by mocking him for his looks and for losing Wanda. In a fit of rage, Juandissimo accidentally throws his wand at Timmy, turning him into the fantasy animal that Remy was supposed to be.

Timmy is declared the winner of the duel, and Juandissimo says a goodbye to Remy before the two of them disappear. Timmy takes pity on Remy and wishes he could be with his parents more, which leads to the Buxaplentys getting shipwrecked on a desert island. Remy gets thanks from his father for offering to find food for the family, and afterward happens to stumble across a turtle Juandissimo. He wonders for a moment if they have met before, but then offers him up as turtle soup.
