Trivia
- This is the last episode of "The Fairly OddParents" in which Ernie Gilbert worked on. He had been part of the crew since Season 1.
- This is the fourth and last episode in Season 9 where Mr. Turner does not appear in at any moment, as well as the only double length episode in the season in which he is absent.
- This episode premiered in Germany and Poland on November 20, 2014. It premiered in France on December 17, 2014.
- Storyboard images for this episode were revealed by Butch Hartman in early 2014. Also, scenes from this were included in a promo for new episodes premiering on July 2014, even though it wasn't aired at the time.
- This episode and The Fairy Beginning aired together on the day of the 2015 Kids Choice Awards.
- Mr. Crocker states, "I guess you can get anything on the Internet these days." This is most likely a reference to Timmy's original excuse of where he got the stuff that he wished for.
- This episode first premiered in the Philippines on March 6, 2015.
- "Fairly Old Parent" began a streak of eight episodes that are all 22-minute specials (spanning the rest of the ninth season and the first episode of the tenth). The next 11-minute episode would be the second Season 10 episode "Whittle Me This!".
- Dr. Pig's theme from another Nicktoon, Back at the Barnyard, plays in the bingo scene.
Allusions
- Once again, and for the last time in the series, the title is an obvious parody of the show's title itself, "The Fairly OddParents".
- Becky Wangberg - When Poof summoned Mr. Crocker after Mrs. Crocker told him so, he says that he was in a middle of a food fight at school. He then references a student called Becky Wangberg, who also happens to be one of this episode's writers.
- SpongeBob SquarePants - During the future scene, there is an island that looks like Bikini Atoll, except that there were two palm trees, while in SpongeBob and its spin-offs, there were three.
Running Gags
- Cosmo being a grilled cheese sandwich.
- Sparky trying to eat him.
- Wanda telling lame stories and saying that she is a dangerous criminal.
- Mrs. Crocker wishing Jorgen naked with only underwear on him.
- Timmy calling Wanda Bernace, a fake name thaw was supposed to be used for him for when the two of them infiltrated the Bingo contest.
Goofs
- The first time Jorgen is shown mostly naked during the episode, he is drawn with body hair, even though every other time he is seen mostly naked (including the second time in this episode), his body is hairless.
- Timmy asked Mrs. Crocker about how long the game would last since he had a soccer game that afternoon while the setting for the bingo game was nighttime.
- Timmy's Dad is mentioned in the credits even though he doesn't appear in the episode.
- When Timmy gives Mr. Crocker the bags, the hot tub is empty.
- The water outside of the hot tub keeps appearing and disappearing throughout the scene.
