Ernie Gilbert is a character designer and art director that has worked on The Fairly OddParents, Danny Phantom and T.U.F.F. Puppy. Starting as a Freelance designer on FOP in 2000, Ernie became a full-time character designer on the show in August 2001, design supervisor in 2004, and Art Director in 2005. In 2006 Ernie won an Annie Award for Best Character Design in an Animated Television Production for his work on "The Good Old Days", for which he also Art Directed and provided the singing voice and ukulele playing for Chippington Skylark III. In 2010 Ernie was tasked with designing the main character line-up for Butch Hartman's series TUFF Puppy, designing  Kitty Catswell, Verminious Snaptrap, The Chief, Keswick, Sally Mander, Birdbrain and the Chameleon, among others. In 2011 Ernie was awarded a second Annie award for Best Character Design in a Television Production for his work on TUFF Puppy, and in 2012 and 2014 received Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation for his work on TUFF Puppy. Ernie resumed the Art Director role on the 9th season of The Fairly Oddparents before moving on to Art Direct  The Fresh Beat Band of Spies  for Nick Jr. Ernie is currently Art Directing Puppy Dog Pals for Disney Jr.
