Don is a character introduced in Season 10 of The Fairly OddParents. He is a ball of yarn with googly eyes and a mouth, created by Catman as a friend and confidant. Thanks to Cosmo and Wanda's magic, he sometimes comes to life.
Timmy acknowledges that Don is a ball of yarn and can't do anything other than that. However, Catman, Cosmo, and Dad consider Don to have a personality. Catman considers Don his best friend and will argue with him as such, believing that Don has feelings for Catman's love interest, Wonder Gal.
Cosmo considers Don to be a great listener, and Dad slyly notes that Don is interested in Wonder Gal and treats the fact that Wonder Gal used a part of Don's yarn to knit a sweater as proof that Don lost weight in order to impress Wonder Gal.
Brought to Life[]
Whenever Don appeared, he was briefly brought to life by magic. In Knitwits, he was brought to life by Cosmo when Timmy wished everyone was having fun. In Cat 'n Mouse, he is accidentally brought to life when Catman wishes to be a real superhero. When this happens, Don can walk, talk, speak, and serves as Catman's partner for all of his crimefighting.
Don is interested in Wonder Gal and will waste no time delivering cheesy come-ons towards her. Chloe Carmichael finds him super-creepy, and Timmy will criticize Don for moving in on Wonder Gal.
Trivia[]
When Don is brought to life, his leisure suit and gold jewelry are evocative of Huggy Bear, a character in the TV show Starsky & Hutch.
