Dimmsdale (1972) is a time period in Dimmsdale's history that was twice visited by Timmy Turner, Cosmo, and Wanda, once when they were trying to stop Timmy's dad from winning a trophy that Timmy destroyed in the present, and the other time when they were exploring Mr. Crocker's troubled past.
When Timmy Turner was traveling back in time trying to find the exact moment Denzel Crocker went nuts about fairies, he eventually went back 30 years to the 1970s, more specifically March 1972. Here he met his parents as kids, as well as a young Sheldon Dinkleberg, Denzel Crocker and Geraldine Waxelplax; Nanette Ubetcha, a relative of Chet Ubetcha (possibly his mother); and evil babysitter Vic the Babysitter, who bears a strong resemblance to Vicky, although his relationship to the Vicky family is unknown.
During this era, everything in Dimmsdale was brightly colored and had peace signs, flowers, and other "Hippy" stuff on it, including Dimmsdale Elementary School, which is brightly colored and covered with flowers and other decals. The residents use terms like "groovy" all of the time, and the Mayor of Dimmsdale and Jorgen von Strangle are even sporting afros. When Timmy asks for fashionable clothes to blend in during this era, Wanda puts a smiley face on his shirt.

After arriving in this time period, Timmy watched his father get his life saved by local resident and hero, a young Denzel Crocker, who had yet to go crazy because of fairies. The next day, Mayor held a ceremony in which Crocker was to receive recognition for his heroism around town, heroics performed entirely because of his fairies, and when Cosmo and Timmy unwittingly exposed Crocker's fairies, a 70s Jorgen arrived and wiped everyone's memories of the event except for the visitors from the future (Timmy, Cosmo, and Wanda). Before his memories were wiped, Crocker managed to scribble "Fairy Godparents Exist" on the back of a DNA tracker he picked up from Timmy, and spent the rest of his life trying to prove fairies exist. After scolding Timmy for meddling in the past and telling him what he can't do when visiting the year 1972 (he couldn't go back to March of 1972 due to what he did here and he can't meddle with anything involving George McGovern's presidential election while visiting other months of 1972), both 70s Jorgen and present Jorgen then send Timmy and his godparents back to the present. Not long afterward, they decided to disco dance with each other much to each other's delight.
