"Dimmsdale's Got Talent?" is the 34th episode of Season 10.

Synopsis[]

Mr. Bickles hosts a talent show and everyone gets in, but Timmy doesn't have any talent.

Plot[]

Mr. Bickles is holding auditions for a talent show called Dimmsdale's Got Talent at the Drowsy Trucker's Motel. Timmy is not interested until Cosmo tells him that the show has a prize: a balloon of the winner in Dimmsdale's "we gotta have a parade because we have all these big stupid balloons" parade. His act for his audition is beatboxing and singing meant to be accompanied by goldfish Cosmo and Wanda, who do nothing out of stage fright. Bickles likes the fishes' "commitment to dull-eyed silence". He welcomes Cosmo and Wanda into the show but finds Timmy lacking in talent and only suitable for being his personal assistant. Cosmo convinces Timmy to accept it in case Timmy discovers a usable talent while on the job.

Timmy tries carrying coffee to Bickles while tap dancing in remote-controlled shoes that the fairies put him in, ramming into Bickles because of an inability to control his movement. He then joins his mother's act, Madame Sasha the Pet Psycho, where she attempts to read the minds of animals. Mrs. Turner releases a mongoose and a cobra onstage and claims that they are thinking about becoming friends. Instead of doing so, the angry animals attack Timmy.

The talent show is held that night, with Doug Dimmadome, the Mayor, and Chompy the Goat as the judges. Chet Ubetcha is the first performer, and his act is reporting on the talent show itself. Next is Mr. Crocker faking ventriloquism using Kevin as his dummy Spackles. Chloe sings and plays piano for her one-woman show So Very Chloe while Mr. Turner does the identical act So Very Dad, and they fight over which of them can perform. Neither the judges nor the audience are pleased by any of them, which causes Bickles to panic.

The talent show ends with Timmy as the winner.

A Kodiak bear for Mrs. Turner's act escapes and chases the people onstage. While running away, Timmy slips on a tomato that had been thrown at Mr. Turner and lands on Mrs. Turner's unicycle, which he uses to escape from the bear until he falls onto the piano and plays it by means of his body bouncing on the keys. The judges respond well to Timmy and the bear, and the audience cheers for them. Bickles decides that Timmy does have talent. In the parade, Timmy rides a float with a balloon of himself while Bickles walks as a baton twirler and uses Crocker as his new assistant.
