  • This is the only episode to have various guest stars: James Arnold Taylor (Sprig), Richard Horvitz (Chuck), Nika Futterman (Ani), Justin Berfield (Ving), Michael Clarke Duncan (Rockwell), Moe Collins (Ma Speevak), Pat Fraley (Brock Rocket) and Queen Latifah (Pam Dromeda).
  • As stated in the main body of the article, this episode was intended to be the pilot for the spin off series titled Crash Nebula, but the series was never produced (for unknown reasons).
  • This is the very last appearance of Crash Nebula as a character. After this episode, he gets mentioned once in Meet the OddParents.
  • This is the second time an episode features a different type of animation than the normal type; the first time is in Channel Chasers.
  • Some TV providers list this episode as a season 3 episode.
  • This episode features two ending title cards, one is the same as the beginning title card and the other one features a TV where the screen was seen in space.
  • This is the first normal episode to not start with a title card. The second and final is Timmy the Barbarian.
  • This is the second episode where Timmy does not make a wish. The first was in The Big Scoop!. This is because he only appeared in two scenes.
  • This episode focuses on Crash Nebula instead of Timmy Turner who only appears at the beginning and end of this episode.
    • This is also Timmy's shortest role in the entire series.
  • Innuendo: Ani touches her breast to get a helmet to breathe in space.
    • The fuel for the Nebula outfit is cow poop.
  • In Latin America, this is the last episode to premiere on Jetix (previously Fox Kids, today Disney XD) due to the new episodes that are premiering on Nickelodeon for that location.
  • This is the last episode Bob Boyle is credited as the Art Director.

Crash Nebula in Danny Phantom

  • Crash Nebula - The title is named after the "Crab Nebula", an explosion that happened in 1054.
  • Danny Phantom - An easter egg is shown when Sprig is looking at his comic. If you look closely you will see that Danny Phantom is shown on the back of the comic, it says "Butch Hartman's Danny Phantom", and a caption that says "Coming Soon". This means that in Sprig' universe is some date before April 3, 2004.
    • Also, in the Danny Phantom episode "What You Want", when Danny and Tucker were at the movie theater, they were playing in a "Crash Nebula" arcade game.
  • Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog - Chuck and Dif in appearance are similar to Scratch and Grounder. They even have similar voices.

Production Notes

  • This is the only episode to premiere in 2004 to also be produced that year. All other episodes to premiere in 2004 were produced in either 2002 or 2003 according to the credits.
    • This episode completed production on February 20, 2004.[1]

  • In early airings, the episode had an incorrect copyright date of 2002 in the credits. Later airings (and the original print of this episode) have the correct date of 2004.
  • At the end of the “Crash Nebula” episode, when Sprig Speevak/Crash Nebula says, “Wow! Look at all this fuel!”, his mouth does not move.
