• This is the sixth episode where Foop appears, but not his fairy counterpart, Poof.
• This is the twenty sixth episode since his introduction in Fairly Odd Baby in which Poof does not appear.

Allusions

• Superman - The title card is a reference to Superman, as his real name is Clark and he pulls away his clothes to reveal his super suit underneath in the same way Dark Laser does in the title card.
• Predator (Franchise) - The Depravulak is a reference to the aliens in that franchise which spans movies, books and video games.

Running Gags

• Timmy and Chloe spazzing out after being stuck in Dark Laser's space ship listening to "knock knock" jokes.
• People running into Dark Laser's cloaked space ship parked on the Turners' lawn.
• Mr. Turner mentioning carrying gold bars in his pockets.
• The Depravulak going after Cosmo and Wanda, and later Denzel Crocker and Foop.
  • People saying they sense impending doom shortly before the Depravulak appears.
• Timmy constantly saying "Everything is awesome" is a reference to The Lego Movie
