Cosmo: "What's he gonna do? Tear apart reality with his bare hands and say, "You puny fairies have some 'splaining to do.""
Jorgen: "That's precisely what I'm going to do! Timmy Turner! You and your puny fairies have some 'splaining to do!"

"Cake, Dance, & Solid Gold Pants" is the first episode of the first season of The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder, and the first episode of the reboot series overall. It is the one hundred seventy-third episode in the "The Fairly OddParents!" universe overall. It was released on March 31, 2022 on Paramount+.

Premise[]

Timmy Turner is excited to gift his cousin Vivian his Fairly Godparents on her first day living in Dimmsdale. However, when her new stepbrother Roy accidentally witnesses the transfer, Viv and Roy are forced to share the godparents.

Plot[]

The episode begins with a video of Timmy, Cosmo and Wanda. As the video progresses, we see flashbacks of the original series and when the video is over, we see the previous titular character, Timmy Turner, who is now live-action again, packing up his bags to go off to college. As Cosmo and Wanda state their excitement to live the college lifestyle with Timmy, he announces that both fairies won’t be joining him in the next chapter of his life. Timmy reveals that his cousin, Vivian Turner, is in greater need off Fairy Godparents due to her recent life changes. After receiving approval from Jorgen Von Strangle, his only condition was that no one else must see the Fairy Godparents during the official fairy transfer to Vivian.

Vivian’s father, Ty Turner had recently reunited with his high school sweetheart in Dimmsdale. From there, everything in Vivian’s life has had drastic changes, to include moving to a whole new town and having a new stepmother and stepbrother, who she has never even met. After meeting Rachel and Roy in Viv’s now new home, it is revealed that there is some tension between Rachel and Viv. For Roy on the other hand, he seems to be super excited that he now has a brand-new stepsister. After briefly settling into her new bedroom, Timmy arrives to visit Viv while hiding Cosmo and Wanda in his backpack.

Thought to be alone in a room, Timmy reveals Cosmo and Wanda to Viv for the very first time. While the fairy transfer is being conducted, Roy falls from a skylight window, also being present during the transfer. After Timmy introduces Cosmo and Wanda, Wanda gets upset at Timmy, as Roy being there breaks the original deal they had. Jorgen Von Strangle then comes in, scolding Timmy, but Timmy reveals that he didn't know Roy was on the roof. So, instead of taking away Cosmo and Wanda, Jorgen decides that Viv and Roy will have to share Cosmo and Wanda, while also taking turns with making wishes, just as Timmy hears the last train out of Dimmsdale.

When Timmy leaves, Viv and Roy decide to test out what it's like to have fairy godparents, and begin making wishes. Viv wishes that her room was better, and Cosmo and Wanda poof it into a complete redecoration. Roy wishes for solid gold pants, and Viv wishes to be taller, but they quickly learn they need to be more careful with their wishes as Roy falls to the ground, weighed down by his gold pants, and Viv is turned into the size of a giant. Roy wishes that his pants would function like regular pants, and Viv wishes herself back to her normal height. The two continue making wishes, with Viv wishing for her father to stop dancing all the time- leading to Ty to stop dancing immediately and not catch Rachel- and Roy wishing for more cake. After Roy wishes for a puppy to lick the cake off his face, Viv tells Roy that she's going to get the life she thought she was getting and tries to wish herself onto a farm, beginning to say she wished she was surrounded by farm animals. Cosmo cut her off and granted the first part of the wish, poofing a bunch of farm animals into her room, which upsets Viv. She tries to get Roy to wish the animals away, but he refuses, saying that she'll just wish herself away.
