Trivia

• This is Trixie Tang's first appearance since Cosmo Rules.
• This is A.J.'s Dad and Mom's first appearances since Dadbra-Cadabra and Just Desserts! respectively. This is also their last appearance.
• This is the first (or second episode if you count "Girly Squirrely in "FOP#" number) episode that was directed by Sherie Pollack.
• This is the only episode in the series where the title card doesn't show the full name of the episode, due to the length of the name. "Birthday Battle: Transmorphers Versus Unicorns" was shortened to "Birthday Battle."
• This is the sixteenth episode since his introduction in Fairly Odd Baby in which Poof does not appear.

Allusions

• Transformers - Transmorphers is a parody of the Transformers franchise owned by Hasbro.
• My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic - The pink unicorn that talks around the end of the episode shares the same voice as one of the show's main protagonists, Twilight Sparkle. Both the protagonists of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and The Fairly Oddparents are voiced by Tara Strong.

Running Gags

• Cosmo and Timmy calling Wanda "Shaniqua".
• Cosmo thinking Chloe and Timmy are "Birthday Psychos."
• Mr. Turner thinking dinosaurs are real.
• Cosmo getting wishes wrong due to cheese being in his ears.

Continuity

• This the third episode involving Timmy celebrating his birthday in the series. The first two are Boys in the Band and Birthday Bashed!
  • Since this episode had two of Timmy's birthdays, this means Timmy has had 4 birthdays in the series.

Goofs

• This episode along with its sister episode, "Girly Squirrely" used the original theme song from Season 9 in its initial airing rather than Chloe's Theme Song.
• From Cosmo's flashback from Timmy's previous birthday party, it is revealed that he and Wanda appeared as themselves while there are people other than Timmy.
• When Mr. Crocker encountered Wanda when she stole his goody bag, he didn't try to capture her.
  • This might be because he was running away from the epic battle.
