• This is the third episode since his introduction in Fairly Odd Baby in which Poof does not appear.
• In this episode, Timmy looks a lot like Tommy Turner, from the Season 5 episode "Oh, Brother", and the adult Timmy from the future from the Season 4 episode "Channel Chasers".
• It is revealed that Mrs. Turner takes food from Bar Mitzvah receptions. 
• It is shown that Mr. Turner always steals stuff from Dinkleberg.
• This is the second time Dinkleberg's pool appears outside of his house. The first was in That's Life! and the third will be in Man's Worst Friend.
• This is the last appearance of Mr. Ed Leadly in the cartoon as well as Pencil Nexus.
  • It's also the last appearance of Mrs. Dinkleberg in the series.

• The Turners tried to do something imperfect, but the wish makes them do perfect things.
• Cosmo looking for his real destiny job.
• Steamed broccoli is being shown.

Allusions

• The Simpsons - When Mr. Turner mentions that he stole things from Dinkleberg's house, it is similar when Homer steals things from Flanders' house.

Goofs

• When Timmy wished for the perfect family, it violated Da Rules because Da Rules say that magic can't help you win competitions.
  • The perfect family award wasn't really a contest since no other family entered.
• Denzel Crocker and Sheldon Dinkleberg are credited as Jeff Bennett in the credits when they are supposed to be credited as Carlos Alazraqui.
  • Dinkleberg is spelled as Dinkelberg in the credits as well.
• TV guides list this episode as "Perfect Nightmare".
